American Legion Baseball
Baseball has, is and will always be known as America's pastime. This time honored sport has "thrived through world wars, several national tragedies, and times of great prosperity as well as great despair." The traditions and values that were first instilled in the league when it was founded in 1925 are still upheld today. Since its inception, "American Legion Baseball has taught hundreds of thousands of young Americans the importance of sportsmanship, good health, and active citizenship." As a strong promoter of equality, our program makes teammates of young adults regardless of their socioeconomic backgrounds. "American Legion Baseball has been, and continues to be, a stepping stone to manhood for millions of young men who have gone on to serve their country or community, raise families, or play the sport at the highest level."
